With my whole heart, I believe Noah lived until the age of 950. Deal with it.
It is interesting to note that he was around 600 years old when he, being a “man of the soil” (Gen. 9:20), planted a vineyard after he came off the Ark. That means even after living in this world for 600 years, working the ground was man’s constant work. And, quite likely, enjoyable. I reckon that when men get to an age where they have more time, they unite to the soil of the earth and there is something natural to that. In any case, it is also interesting that at the age of 600, Noah did not grow weary of drinking wine, 🍷 🤣.
Some things never get old, huh?
Makes me think of a small portion of On Old Age by Cicero. If I remember correctly he too makes this connection of returning to the earth so to speak.
Interestingly, ChatGPT can't find a single early Church father who denies the literal ages in Gen 5 & 11, not even any Alexandrian fathers. That's certainly a huge point in your favor, compared to the 6-day creation.
